'IT MAKES US FEEL VERY PROUD TO PLAY OUR PART IN HELPING OUR CLIENTS PRODUCE VIDEOS THAT HELP THESE CAUSES'

Some people assume that autumn and winter are quieter months, with the days being shorter, the colder temperatures and the grey skies, but for us things really heated up, with plenty of work to keep us busy over the more festive seasons.

Let’s find out what we got up to!

With more and more companies asking employees to return to the office, to ensure the happiness of staff, they need to make this an enticing proposition.

That is exactly what one of our oldest blue-chip clients are currently doing after upgrades to their office that included a new gym, kitchen facilities, the installation of more electric charging points in the car park and others, that make their building a great place to work from.

They got us in to shoot 2 videos, the first was a 3 – 4 minute video that showcased their facilities, as well as going over some ways to work in the building and of course… the office rules.

The video was aimed not just at people that had worked there previously but also for a cohort of employees that would be new to the site.

It was a run-and-gun style shoot, to provide ease of movement throughout the building, but also stylistically, shooting handheld as opposed to a tripod gave the video a natural and easy feel.

The video itself had a light-hearted approach with some humour inserted to take the edge off some of the more ‘dryer’ parts (AKA the rules), the balance worked really well between the tongue-in-cheek style humour and the more serious messaging which is sometimes hard to get right.

The second project was along similar lines to the first and was a ‘day in the life’ style video.

It followed one person from the start of their day to the end – arriving at work, making their morning coffee, working throughout the building, having their lunch and at the end of the day, going to the gym.

Both videos were shot on the same day, making it a very efficient and cost-effective shoot and the client was very pleased with the result 🙂

Sometimes we get to work on socially important projects and over the past couple of months, we have had the honour of working on videos for Cancer awareness, Neuroinclusion awareness and International Women’s Day.

It makes us feel very proud to play our part in helping our clients produce videos that help causes or videos that raise awareness to them.

One even had us burning the midnight oil quite literally, to make sure we hit a very tight deadline for our client!

Some more nice videos to talk about were the set of ‘Thank You’ videos we edited from self-shot footage a client provided us with.

They involved the big bosses saying thank you to their teams, which we worked our magic on by adding some nice backgrounds, small animations, music, audio mastering and a nice colour grade.

This is not always the case, but the footage we received from the client was well shot thanks to them using our handy self-shooting guide which you can read HERE or download below!

The colder seasons not only saw us creating ‘real-life’ video, we were also busy creating animations.

One animation that we are currently working on, involves a moving timeline that follows a drug company and how far they’ve come in the 100 years since their inception.

Milestones are highlighted along the journey with lovely pop-out graphics and the whole thing has been created in a very high resolution so it can be played on a giant screen at a conference.

The client is very happy with how it is looking and we can’t wait to see it in-situ!

Another animation saw us creating a travel security video for people travelling to attend a conference.

We’ve made a few of these over the years for this client, the last one being in Barcelona and this time it is London’s turn!

Using a classic ‘Explainer’ style, the video gets its important information across with lovely, colourful, fun visuals, making for a very engaging video, that holds people’s attention.

On top of all of these projects we’ve also had our regular project updates, these usually involve taking a video we’ve created in the past and updating anything from logos, brand colours, subtitles, voice over… you get the idea!

We’ve always said just because you need changes to an older video doesn’t mean it needs to be completely remade, and it is one of the reasons we keep such a long archive of previous projects, so we can easily go back to them for clients.

It is a very cost-effective way of making sure all of your video projects are looking and sounding up to date and exactly how you’d want them too.

With plenty more projects to talk about from digital posters to translations and some big projects in the pipeline, we will leave it here for now.

We hope you had an excellent autumn and winter, and as the Beatles once sung…

HERE COMES THE SUN ☀️
