'YOU'LL ALWAYS BE MY FIRST PORT OF CALL FOR ALL THINGS VIDEO - I WOULDN'T WANT TO GO ANYWHERE ELSE'

Who doesn’t love spring?

You get your first taste of warm weather for the year; cute baby animals start their journeys into the world and on the whole, people tend to be cheerier.

For us at Croft TV, this is a time of year where we normally see an uptick in projects.

Some that had been planned in the new year and some purely because in the nicer weather people are more likely to tackle their to-do lists.

So, without further ado, let’s find out what some of them were.

This spring saw us back filming at the premises of one of our oldest blue-chip customers.

Without giving too much away because of our confidentiality agreements, they create a lot of products for different industries, everything from abrasives and adhesives to automotive wraps and personal protective equipment.

With so much production and innovation, once a year the company will have an ‘experience day,’ where they will showcase their products.

This one in fact, even featured a TV celebrity arriving on a hoverboard!

The day was kicked off in their auditorium, where different speakers introduced themselves and what they had been working on, as well as other wider company information.

As we always say, an event takes a lot of time and planning, so why not get the most out of it… and that is exactly what our client did!

We were tasked with filming and live streaming speeches so they could be viewed by not just the people in the room, but an international audience.

After the speeches were wrapped, it was lunch time (a time where other things get wrapped) and then on to the displays, which showcased a number of products that visitors could get up close with, ask questions and see demonstrations.

We shot the rest of the day in a fly-on-the-wall style as well as interviewing some visitors, demonstrators and other staff and used this footage to put together a flavour of the day video.

Our client will then use this video to show what this years ‘experience day’ was like for people who could not attend and also use it as an advertisement for next years event.

Talk about making the most of their investment!

Our client was so happy with how it all went they sent us the following:

“We’ve actually had the most wonderful feedback on the whole event.”

And…

“You’ll always be my first port of call for all things video – I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else!”

Conn even shot the event on his birthday – that’s the kind of commitment you can expect from Croft TV!

We shot another live stream over the spring months, this time for an international blue-chip that operates in over 70 countries!

The head of the entire company was coming to their UK headquarters to give a speech, answer questions with an interviewer and participate in a Q&A session with the audience.

This whole occasion was to be live streamed for anyone that couldn’t make it in person, which included international viewers, as I mentioned earlier, in over 70 countries.

To ensure the success of the live stream, we actually went the week before for a test run with the IT team, to make sure everything would run smoothly on the day.

We are happy to say it did, all video and audio feeds came through crisp and clear!

So much so, that the client ended up asking for a version that they could use for ‘on demand’ purposes (again, getting the most out of their investment!).

The spring saw us working our design skills, producing an A3 collage that a client would give as a leavers gift.

It was a lovely idea, as it featured all of the products, brands and successes the leaver had worked on during their time at the company.

It is a nice feeling to be a small part in producing a gift that will bring someone joy 🙂

Another project we were proud to be part of, but for very different reasons was a microplastics and sustainability video.

It was an animated video about how water filters can be used to create safer drinking water globally.

It is an issue that is close to our hearts and it is nice to be a part of driving this kind of positive change.

At this point, this update is long enough, so we’ll leave it here.

There’s plenty more in the pipeline including a photo/video safety training programme and we are happy to say we are now in the mid 30’s of our 50+ translations for our pharmaceutical project as mentioned in our case study.
